Mathematics Pentathlon® Home Use
One
of the most important things a parent can do is to reinforce the
mathematics a child learns in school. Yet, parents and children
alike become weary of drill-type worksheets and flashcards. The
Mathematics Pentathlon games and related activities in Adventures
In Problem-Solving Activity Books I & II and Investigation Exercises
Books I & II are an enjoyable alternative to rote practices.
Visit our On-Line Store where all of the Mathematics Pentathlon
games and related materials may be purchased for home use.
For home schoolers, the Mathematics Pentathlon program offers
a challenging format for developing active problem-solving skills
while strengthening communication skills. Linking the games with
related curricular materials provides a child the opportunity to
orally describe, organize, analyze and record ideas while developing
a greater understanding of important mathematics concepts.
Parents can learn the games by attending one of the many Mathematics
Pentathlon Orientation Sessions (MPOSs). A more in-depth understanding
of the Mathematics Pentathlon program is experienced in any
of our Summer Workshops. All trainings are open to parents, community
leaders, as well as teachers and administrators.
